Antarctica’s Whales Under Threat: Please Help Now

Krill supertrawlers are destroying the world’s most important whale feeding ground, competing with whales, seals and penguins for food. If krill collapses, Antarctica’s marine life collapses.

Krill has already declined by up to 80% in parts of the Antarctic Peninsula. To make things worse, a 138-meter supertrawler has just been authorized to join the fleet, which will become the largest industrialized fishing vessel operating in the Antarctic.

With a growing industrial fleet and weakened protections, we are running out of time. We must act now!

Sea Shepherd once defended whales against harpoons in Antarctica, and we won. In 2026, we will return to fight for Antarctica’s whales once again but we need your help!
